Who We Are
We are a group of ordinary people, striving to better ourselves and bring honor and glory to our God and Father. We realize we are imperfect and sinful, and we are in desperate need of the redeeming power of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
What We Believe
We believe in the presence and the power of an all-mighty and all-knowing God.
We believe God is the creator of all things, of heavens and earth, and that God created mankind because he desires a relationship with us.
We believe we are sinful creatures, but Jesus Christ chose to leave the side of his father in heaven to come to earth: to live, to die, and to overcome death on our behalf. It is because of Christ’s power over death we can be restored as children of God.
We believe we cannot be justified by any actions we take, but rather by the grace of God that has been made available by our obedient faith in Jesus Christ.
We believe you are added to the church when you:
- recognize your sin,
- believe in the redeeming power of Jesus Christ,
- are willing to confess that belief before men,
- are willing to repent of those sins, and
- are baptized by immersion for the forgiveness of sins.
We believe the gift of God to all Christians is the Holy Spirit, who indwells us and helps us in our weakness.
We believe we were created for good works, not that we should be glorified, but that all glory and honor be to God.
We believe Christians should come together each Sunday to praise and worship our Creator, to partake in the Lord’s Supper in remembrance of the Savior’s sacrifice, and to encourage and exhort one another.
We believe in the inspired and perfect word of God, the Bible. We believe it is our only authority, and we strive to follow the example of the church as laid out in scripture.
